Usually, private duty services are an out-of-pocket expense, paid for privately. In some cases, long-term care insurance policies can pay for services. Veterans, through VA benefits, can qualify for in-home services and the VA will pay your provider directly. Medicaid can cover these services.

Private duty care refers to assistance with everyday activities. It can also be known as assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). Some of these activities include bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming. Other services include but are not limited to light housekeeping, meal preparation, respite care, and companionship.

Yes! Home health care is a service the requires the skilled training of a registered nurse and therapists in coordination with your doctor(s) order(s). Home care/private duty services do not require an order from your doctor.
